Free Music Notes for Woman on Top - Music From The Motion PictureFree Music Review: Just Magical Hit: 5 Stars
The movie doen't make justice to the soundtrack. I'm sorry but it doesn't. What makes the movie work is its background music. This is the most beautiful soundtrack that I have heard in my life. The music is sexy and beautiful. The songs get into your core and and heart. You just can't get tire of hearing them again and again. Personnal favorite: Cinzas by Pulinho Moska. This song even if you don't understand its lyrics will bring tears to your eyes. The melancolic melody is just too much; and the sadness in Moska's voice is just haunting. And the lyrics are just marvelhosas. I highly reccomend this sountrack, it's just right.
Free Music Review: Wonderful Movie***Wonderful CD Hit: 5 Stars
I enjoyed the movie so much I just had to get the sound track (I also got the CD "Bossa Nova Brazil" and "The Girl from Ipanema: The Antonio Carlos Jobim Songbook"....very good). The songs are so sensual, that they put you in the mood to samba and shake it up, but at the same time it relaxes you. It does what seldom many songs do; energize you and soothe you all at once; now you tell me what other music can do that. I have not been to Brazil, but just hearing the songs, I feel like I am there; holding the one you love or just alone, you are at the right place and at the right time, when you play this CD. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
Free Music Review: A Brazilian experience Hit: 5 Stars
I have no idea of Brazil's culture moreso with its music but after I saw Woman on Top the movie, I have just got to have the soundtrack! I have never bought an album that features songs that I know I might never be able to understand but the melody, rythm, and voices of the performers here are so exquisite that I don't care if I don't get to understand what their singing about. I love all songs for it relaxes me. How the singers here were able to give the Brazilian experience is beyond words. I truly love this and hope that others would be able to feel the same experience as I did.
Free Music Review: Delicious Silky Brazilian Music!! Hit: 5 Stars
'Woman on Top' Soundtrack complemented the movie perfectly and what a better way to relive the moments than to relisten to the songs again and again? From "A Flor e o Espinho" to "Brazil (Aquarela do Brasil)" the CD, brings the sultry atmosphere of Brasil by the seaside, so even though you haven't seen the movie, do get this CD for your beach or pool parties. Sip some pina colada and enjoy the swaying coconut leaves, while some of your friends move their hips to Paulinho Moska's delicious voice singing "Nos Braços de Isabel".
Free Music Review: Excellent buy! Hit: 5 Stars
I keep congratulating myself for this purchase. By far I personally think this CD is one of the only two things that came with that forsaken movie. The first one was of course the super hot Penelope Cruz and the other was the music. I distinctly remember going to see this movie and starting to doze off until I heard the first song. Then I woke up! and so on and so forth. I kept going in and out of sleep in between songs. The fabulous singers in this album are all very able interpreters of Brazilian music. Congratulations to me!
