If you enjoy bosa nova, Brazilian tropicalia, MPB, this is one to add to your collection. Most of the singers were unknown to me but I found them very talented. Mostly acoustic instrumentation. Other Brazilian soundtracks to get are "Black Orpheus" with many of the Jobim/Bonfa/Moraes tunes and "Next Stop Wonderland".Free Music Review: Dreaming of Brazil!

Fully realized while watching the movie, Woman on Top, how much music means to the enjoyment of a film. The pleasant sounds from this film, which are also essential elements of the plot will be long remembered by this viewer. I just came back from seeing the movie, and as all things brazilian & latin it's very sensual, the actors, the colors, the food... I agree with the "sweet but cliché" assessment of the movie. This album however, is a wonderful collection of Portuguese music. I listen to this in the car, going to sleep, or when cooking dinner for a date... It is relaxing and brings a smile.
