Free Music Review: 8 Diagrams Of The Sun
Hit: 5 Stars

Now I am a huge Wu fan, always been, always will. And when i recieved my copy of 8 Diagrams yesterday I was not expecting a 36 Chambers or another Wu-Tang Forever. Because if I wanted to hear a remake of 36 Chambers I would just save my money and listen to 36 Chambers. So when you buy this album and you put it into your player, expect a new album, not an old one. Now lets get down to business. This albums production is experimental, but I dig it. Its different but still always have the Wu-Tang style martial arts cuts, and hard hitting beats. One thing thats absolutely perfect on this album (not suprising) are the lyrics, they kill it. Now if I had a complaint, it would be there are only a few stand out tracks, but the plus to that is there isn't a song that is bad, except maybe "Starter". The production might be different, but it's still 100 Percent Wu-tang flavor. And like RZA said, Wu-Tang Clan is a family, and family goes through quarrels, but at the end of the day, that's your brother, and Wu-Tangs always forever.

My Favorite songs:

Heart Gently Weeps

Take It Back

Rushing Elephants

Wolves

Gun Will Go

Sunlight

Life Changes.

Free Music Review: Beats are in depth, but must have a good stereo
Hit: 5 Stars

When I put this cd in my stereo at home it sounded unbelievable. Rza has a lot of low lying beat changes and subtle background instrumentals and vocals. There is no song where the beat stays the same and it shows a lot of engineering, using different input channels, and time spent on this album. This is a solid album where songs and a mood is set for a classic cd that doesn't take you everywhere and left feeling like there was no cohesiveness. This isn't Marvin Gaye's What's Goin On cd, but that's the line of fluidity I'm talking.I thought beat wise this is one of the best rap cd's ever heard and lyric wise.I have a damn good stereo in my car too, but for some reason when riding in traffic and over the sound of my engine in back of me (MR Spyder) I couldn't hear or respect the beats as much.Truthfully, the cd almost didn't sound the same and in my car I could see what the negative reviewers were saying. All in all, wait to hear this cd on a really good system before you say anything bad about what may be one of the baddest rap cd's ever; beats and lyrics. No, it's not a club banger, but it is a rap cd I'll play for years to come and listen all the way through.

Free Music Review: Refreshing
Hit: 5 Stars

All I can say is WOW. I cannot stop listening to this album. In an era where all we get is the same cookie cutter songs on the radio, it is so refreshing to hear the Wu take it back to original production and lyrics. Hip-Hop as it should be. Favorite songs include Campfire, Take it Back, Rushing Elephants, Wolves, Windmill, and Weakspot

The RZA production is amazing. I'm blown away by the musical arrangements. And the lyrics are as raw as ever. I think Meth, Deck, Cappadonna, Rae, RZA, and Ghost kill it on this album. I wish there were more verses from Cappa. Not sure what Ghost and Rae are talking about. After listening to Big Doe Rehab, I think their rhymes sound much better over RZA beats.

As a fan of Wu-Tang since the beginning, it's great to see them back in top form. This album proves that Wu-Tang members should stick to rhyming over RZA beats and RZA truly is the Abbot.

Free Music Review: Masterpiece! The Clan come full circle with 8 Diagrams.
Hit: 5 Stars

Spellbinding beats with the lyrical skill you have come to love from The Clan. RZA's production reaches new heights on this album. If you are a RZA fan, you understand the complexity of his music. Some Wu fans want a throwback to 36 chambers and will complain that this album is not raw enough. If you want raw/uncut, look to Wu-fam or Wu-Syndicate. What you will get from RZA at this stage is head music that soars above any production in Rap today and the ocassional banger. RZA could easily make an album with all bangers, but he choses to show off his next level of production evolution on this one. The Heart Gently Weaps, Wolves, Get Them Out Ya Way Pa, Stick Me For My Riches, are the obvious standouts on the album. Overall 4.5/5 Hopefully we will get more product from the Clan. Ghost is droppin every 6 months, I wish RZA and the clan would follow his lead and feed the streets!

Free Music Review: Gun will 5 Stars

clack on weak MC's!!!! I read all the pre-reviews. I had doubts. I still went out to lunch to cop this. Man, do anyone know what REAL HIP HOP is anymore? This is fire. Nothing but. Grown hip hop just like NAS hip hop is dead. Gun will go is just unbelievable. I am 30+ I am going to be chanting that hook like a 16 year old. And Campfire, that is a way to kick off of the race. I think everyone is concern because they are not jumping around and screaming like they did in the 90's. C'mon now, neither is NAS, Jay Z, Scarface, even Redman. This is an unbelievable 'dark' album and I usually do not like all dark albums. This is an exception. It is also great that it was released around this time of the year. Get em out the way Pa had me about to drive in a ditch!!! I love it!!!! What a time to be a WU-Tang fan!! "WU-TANG,WU-TANG!!!! Keep it going brothers, R.I.P. to ODB.
