Free Music Notes for WFree Music Review: Wu Is Back! Hit: 5 Stars
After 3 years of working on solo projects, the Wu-Tang Clan has reunited together for "The W", which is on it's way to becoming another classic Wu-Tang album. The CD's 13 songs which is slim and taut for a CD produce non-stop classic Wu which is reminiscent of their first CD: 36 Chambers. The first two singles: Protect Ya Neck (The Jump Off), and Gravel Pit both deserve to be lead singles on the CD. Nas, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, and Redman all enhance the CD more than it already is. "Chamber Music" has a stellar beat, "Careful (Click, Click)" is a very fun, strange, but overall good song, with a thumping beat that is one of the best on the CD. Hollow Bones takes people back to old school and their first CD. Other songs to note: "Conditioner" with O.D.B. and Snoop Dogg provides some comic relief during O.D.B.'s verses. "Let My Niggas Live" is another song with great lyrics and an awesome beat as Raekwon and Nas take off on that song. "Do You Really (Thang, Thang)" is a song that really leapes out at you because it's truly one of the best on the CD. It's one of my favourites on the CD and I think it could be the next single. This CD could go for one of the best hip-hop albums of the year. The whole CD is packed with excellent beats, music, lyrics, and nobody does it better than than the Wu-Tang Clan.
Free Music Review: The W is an A+ Hit: 5 Stars
The Wu-Tang Clan returns on their third official album, The W. Unlike their previous album, Wu-Tang Forever, which was a sprawling two-disk set, The W is a single disk, thirteen song affair that still allows enough space for all the Wu's MC's to flow as well as include numerous guests. Method Man cohort Redman appears on the psychotic "Redbull" and reggae star Junior Reid provides his gruff styling on the Wu unity anthem "One Blood Under W" and the album's closer the hopeful "Jah World". Nas appears on "Let My Niggas Live" and Snoop Dogg trades verses with ODB on "Conditioner". Unfortunately due to his iron vacation, ODB could only provide his manic flows to the one track. "I Can't Go To Sleep" features Isaac Hayes and samples his powerful version of "Walk On By". The song is a great effort with a sultry rap from Mr. Hayes and impassioned verses from Ghostface Killah. RZA lays down some of his best beats especially on the tight "Hollow Bones" and "Do You Really (Thang, Thang)" which may be the best track on the album. All the Wu MC's, U-God, Method Man, Raekwon, Cappadonna, GZA, Inspecta Deck & Ghostface Killah, show why they are best crew in hip hop. The W is a great album and welcome release in a dry spell for hip hop.
Free Music Review: Definitely the best Wu Album Hit: 5 Stars
I know, I know...Enter the Wu was so great! Please move on people. It was a great album but you could tell that they were young. There was a lack of maturity that kept me from giving it the super album pedigree. The W is just plain sickness from start to finish. I am all about lyrics. Lyrically this is the best and most consistent group effort. The beats are just as sound and innovative. You can feel the maturity in not only the content but the tone. Personally, I think that RZA, GZA and DECK are in the top 5 of the emcee list in all of hip hop (past or present). Masta killa seems to be coming on strong recently. Meth can rhyme but the maturity isn't there. It's still all brag with him. What a waste of talent. Ghostface also has a great deal of potential for the top 5 but I just feel there is a little too much "bulletproof wallet" type mentality still holding him back. Anyway, everybody surprisingly comes very correct lyrically on this album. It's better than Iron Flag by miles. If the commercial guests are still stopping you from copping, it seems obvious to me that Rza sat all these guys down separately and let them know exactly how sharp the darts had to be before they could rhyme alongside the likes of Gza and Deck. Peace, Light and Bliss.
Free Music Review: Great Third Album By Wu Hit: 5 Stars
Three years later after there last great double album, they release this album. First up, I know people dislike this album for alot of reasons. The beats, lackness of Wu appearances. But let me tell you something, the true Wu sound is still really there, you just got to let it grow on you. Of course this album isn't better than there first to, but its definately better than any other mainstream album out there in 2000. People just dont think its TRUE Wu material, and that they went lazy on this album. Truly, I dont think so. And your hearing this from a real Wu-Tang fan. For instance, theres only 13 tracks on this album, and I think 9 of the songs are perfect tracks. The other 4 are decent.

Free Music Review: Wu Tang Sword Style Hit: 5 Stars
I feel that while this was not the best Wu-Tang album ever, it is definitely better than almost all of the other junk that has been hitting the stores lately. I have been a Huge Wu fan since the day that I heard Tical five years ago. I feel that they are by far the best hip hop group ever, and this album just showed how diverse they can be. People that don't like it are the people that only like one type of style, and don't like to try new sounds, which is what the Wu is, constantly changing, and for the better, even when it seems that they are at their best, they find a way to do something just a little better. I like up tempo hip hop, and while alot of the cd isn't too hyper, the songs are excellent. Chamber Music Gravel Pit Jump Off Careful and Do You really are my favorite songs. I do have to say that you have to listen to the cd a few times before it really grabs hold of you, but then again, that seems to be how most of the wu tang cd's are, they challenge you to listen again to find what you didn't like, and the more you try to find reasons not to like it the more you realize that it is a really good album. I highly recommend buying this and giving it a chance, you won't be dissappointed.
