Free Music Notes for Wu Tang Iron FlagFree Music Review: Great lyrics bad beats Hit: 4 StarsThis just pissed me off how the rza didnt produce half the trax and their all commercial wu should be dark beats like the 1st 2 classics 36chambers and wu tang 4ever. the lyrics are ill but im dissapointed that ODB aint on here still a great album tho.
Free Music Review: 4 STARS- Good Album with weak areas Hit: 4 StarsWu-Tang left me a little disappointed on this album because it wasn't as good as some of their other material and on top of that it was too short. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed this album but its just going downhill compared to there other albums. Some good songs on the album are RULES, CHROME WHEELS, UZI, ONE OF THESE DAYS, Y'ALL BEEN WARNED. All the members of the Wu show up lyrically on this album. There are just a couple of week spots on here but definetely worth your money if you are a Wu-Tang Fan. Song ratings (1-5)1- 3.5 2- 5 3- 4 4- 2 (beat sucks) 5- 5 (lead off single 6- 4 7- 4 8- 3.5 (good lyrics) 9- 3 10- 4 11- 4 12- 4
Free Music Review: actually 3.75 stars... Hit: 4 Starson point lyrics as always from the Wu-Brothers, some cool production, but some that lags, doesn't stand up becuase it's just not very solid. Definately a step up from the W, which in my ears, wasn't very lyrically intense and the production was plain clunky for 2/3rds of the cd. I know what they were trying to achieve, they didn't honestly do it with Iron Flag, but they still made a damn good listen...peace,
Free Music Review: they planted the flag on commercialism Hit: 4 StarsOMIGOD THIS ALBUM SUCKS!!! is what i've been hearing from a lot of my peeps. everybody was complaining about how this album was too commercial and how wu sold out. well, on one hand, that is true. this album is very commercial sounding, it's not grimey anymore. it sounds like the Wu was running this record 10 blocks from the shaolin slums at some corperate office. musically it's kind of annoying with all the uptempo hee-hee la-la garbage. lyrically they are still tight. now, let me justify all. back on the one hand, the wu didn't sell out. this album show's a real big growth from the company. they have done the grimey shaolin slum hoodrat thing, they've done the ill rich-but-still-hood thing, i guess this album is rich-now-we-do-what-we-want. not a completely bad album, this album will appeal to others who otherwise wouldn't have listened to wu because it has pop appeal. this album just shows that wu can do more than one thing, they can expand and take over the world. iron flag truly, they planted it and conquered the commercial world of hip hop. if you are a REAL wu fan you'd buy it. if you are here and there with wu or just want a wu album, borrow it first. if you don't know who wu are and don't like grimey stuff, get this one along with "Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers."
Free Music Review: I say there BEST! Hit: 4 StarsAlot of others might disagree, but I feel this is there best CD to date. I feel they pushed for those tight beats, and spent the time to make a great album. The beats are awsome, and method is great as always. I highly recommend this cd.
