Every XTC album delivers at least a couple of tunes that are like nothing you've ever heard, and this one is no different. There's everything from simple (yet brilliantly original) songs like "Love On A Farmboy's Wages" to complex, clever pop tunes like "Toys" and "Jump". "Great Fire" contains some of Partridge's most original and playful lyrics, as he tells the story of a romance in terms of a house on fire against a driving beat. The CD contains all the LP tunes plus a number of B-sides; a must-have addition to the collection.
