Free Music Notes for 40 Dayz & 40 NightzFree Music Review: Better than At The Speed Of Life??? (4.5 stars) Hit: 5 StarsThats a good toss up question when comparing these two CD's. He released this CD in mid 1998, when commercial rap was on the take over (basically all the artests from Def Jam Records ran the scene around that time), so I don't think that anyone heard this when it first came out. Production wise X does a little exploring comming across Dr. Dre and Sir Jinx while staying with the some of the beats by E-Swift. Some may say that this is his break through album, but comparing this to At The Speed Of Life, Xzibit gets a little live on this than previously.
To name a few tracks that I like:
Chamber Music sets the tone of this CD.
3 Card Molly is another great track with the help of Saafir and Ras Kass (Golden State)
What U See Is What U Get was the single of this CD and the video was nice also.
Deeper has a nice beat and really brings out X's style. One of my favorites
Let It Rain which featues King T and The Liks also a nice beat.
If you enjoyed Xzibit's style from At The Speed Of Life, he made this CD and the rest is history to you fans of all of dope lyrics comming from him with out the commercial mainstream. If you got into Xzibit from 40 Dayz and 40 Nightz and on, and never heard his first one or don't like the hip hop style, you may consider this CD as his break through and got him involved with big artists such as Snoop Dogg, Emimem and Dr. Dre. To me personally, these CD's are neck and neck. It all depends on what you like. I just don't hope that he never forgets where he came from and the people that put on.
Free Music Review: FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Hit: 5 StarsMan xzibit has really done it here. By far his best album yet, def a classic, dre and eminem level material here. Its funny how only 32 people reviewed this album, I guess people just don't know good rap these days.
Free Music Review: Xzibit - 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz Hit: 5 StarsFirst up, this is CLASSIC Xzibit material. This is when he used to spit the lyrics on the real hiphop beats. Sucks that Xzibit dont still use this style, but its still cracken. The production on this album is for sure cracken! Great beats, I love the beats on this album. It starts off good, then gets better throughout the whole album. I was kinda dissapointed with Xzibits new album, but this is his REAL style, and his REAL lyrics. Get this album now! Its worth it.

Free Music Review: X to tha Z's encore to "at the speed of life" Hit: 4 Stars As one reviewer put it, this a toss up with the "Restless" album as his best with #2 At the speed...#3 Man vs. Machine #4 Weapons of Mass Destruction(In my opinion his, not worst 'cause X is a stellar MC,but least favorite..too commercial for my taste), anyways bout the album: D to tha O to tha P to tha E, DOPE, pick this one up fa' sho, pussy pop, 3 card molly, what you see..., and chamber music being reasons why...Also look out for any Strong Arm Steady material comin out with Phil Tha Agony, Krondon, and SD619'S OWN Mitchy Slick
Free Music Review: This album was almost as hot as Mark McGwire in summer 1998 Hit: 5 StarsIn the middle of the West Coast saturday reviews but I will do all 5 Xzibit albums."Chamber Music" is absolutely sick and is very nice."3 Card Molly" is some how actually better and has a perfect beat to it and when you get Saafir and Ras Kass you have a classic song."What you see is what you get" was one of the best video's if not the best of 1998 and is also a great single."Handle your bussiness" also has a great beat to it and he kills this one to."Nobody Sounds like me" has a experimental beat(I love experimental beats) I wish the had beats like this on his new albums."P**** Pop" is that Method Man."Shroomz" messes up the album with a bad beat and bad lyrics."Focus" gets back on focus with a nice beat and nice lyrics."Deeper" has a beat that sounds like it was made underground and is experimental."Los Angeles Times" is obviosly a look at LA up close."Let it Rain" has a sick beat and hot rhymes to go with it."Recycled Assasins" has a great beat to it.I really do not know anything about Thayoud Auser or Jesse West but they did a great job.If Xzibit would of actaully had fun on here it would have been even better. He used energy but not excitement.
Lyrics 9.5 Production 10 X Factor 7 Classic 9 Replay 9
This was a hard one to score but it was worth a solid 4 1/2
