Free Music Notes for RestlessFree Music Review: The downfall of X Hit: 2 StarsHere it begins. WE're no longer gonna get another album like "Speed of life" or "40days/nights" from him no more. THe commercial bug has bitten. Well hey, he's got to make his money. Though this album does have its share of party anthems (the alkaholik song in particular) I thought the production really had a lot to be improved upon! Come on Dre, you can do better than this [junk]. Old school Xzibit fans, dont get this -- you'll be disappointed. If you're lookin to get a feel for X, well I guess you can pick this one up.
Free Music Review: Xzibit's best album ever Hit: 5 StarsThis has to be Xzibit's best album because the beats and lyrics are excellent and eventhough his new album man vs. machine is out I still think this is better but his new one is good too. If you are an Xzibit fan or like good rap then I suggest you buy this album you won't be dissapointed.

Free Music Review: THE MAN Hit: 5 StarsFrom Xzibit initial introduction with Tha Liks more than half a decade ago, and two solo albums which stayed undercover for most of hip-hop America, an opportune appearance on Snoop's smash single "B Please" and a subsequent roster spot on the Up In Smoke tour has uncovered a new generation of "X" fans in the new century. Xzibit's latest release, Restless, makes believers of the hype.Xzibit comes strong on his third solo effort. Exhibiting a lyrical prowess which has made him a fan and critical favorite over his relatively short career, Xzibit holds his own, whether going solo on this 16-track journey ("Front 2 Back," "X," "Best Of Things"), or employing a willing array of A-list contemporaries to accompany him ("Kenny Parker Show 2001" featuring KRS One; "Alkaholik" featuring Erick Sermon, J-Ro, and Tash; "Loud & Clear" featuring Butch Cassidy, Defari, and King T; "D.N.A" featuring Snoop; "Don't Approach Me" featuring Eminem). Xzibit's gruff and penetrating voice gives him a distinct advantage over those hip-hop's pretenders. As do the album's heavy basslines and head-bobbing beats by guest producers DJ Quik, Battle Cat, Rocwilder, and Dr. Dre, who make this album an aural and eventful journey. For the last few years, Xzibit's underground fame has had to suffice. But with Restless, he is sure to receive the mainstream attention he deserves. Lyrically stating, Xzibit himself says it best: "I'm gonna bring it to your chest like an asthma attack." Get your inhaler before it's too late.
