Just what all you emo's needed ...
how can you be so commercial or even persuaded by a commercial to run out and get the 'best song you've ever heard'? Get out much?
Ok, now that I've been hypercritical on to some redeeming qualities.
There are songs on the album that I'm able to listen without going into a drowse-like trance. I liked Far Far and Pachad. However, most of them are fit for wistful, broken-hearted times when one feels like putting their face into a pillow and crying themselves to sleep.
She is no Corrinne Bailey Rae. Very limited range and barely singing above a whisper. Even the instruments are used sparingly and rightly so because otherwise you wouldn't be able to hear her voice. Fit for those very, very quite and pacified moments of tranquility.

Like most I was hooked by the song "New Soul" in the Mac Air ad. So I march to the store and get the CD (I still like CD's, something about the smell-anyway...), and play her in my car right away. I didn't feel the need to skip one song which is very rare! This is a very well written, well sung and thoughtful and mellow pop album. I liked it. I will say that "new soul" sounds a little out of place even though it's a brilliant song. So this girl kind of reminds me a little of Regina Spektor and a lot of Fiona Apple but she's got her own thing which is nice and refreshing to me. If there's a song I didn't like at ALL was her remake of Britney Spear's "Toxic"; Don't get me wrong it's a different take on the song and an improvement but I can't get the original singer out of my head and it angers me that I'm forced to think of Britney at all! Otherwise I'm learning to like the Cd more and more every time I listen to it. Free Music Review: She Will Be Big!!

Yael Na?m's incredibly single, New Soul, as featured in the new MacBook Air commerical is one of, if not THE best song I've ever heard.
Yael Na?m's vocals are amazing in this song, and it is met with incredible lyrics that will make even the saddest of people happy, and if a song can do that, one knows that it's quite amazing.
In short, New Soul is one of the best songs you'll ever hear, and is definitely going to become a single that will go down in the history when the Gen-Yers are in their sixties. It will be remembered then.
It sticks in a very good way. Happy purchasing!!

A beautiful vocal song. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of good music, especially female singers like Feist, Regina Spektor, Corinne Bailey Rae, or Sara Bareilles.
