Free Music Notes for Tout Est CalmeFree Music Review: Yes, there are listeners Hit: 4 StarsTierson's music is romantic and cosmopolitan. Very French with a touch of Indy. Has he heard the Silver Jews? It is the perfect complement to good cheese (camembert), bread, wine, and a long afternoon for reverie. Because of it, I will study the French language immediately. Au revoir.
Free Music Review: Am I the only one who's listened to this? Hit: 4 StarsAs a recently graduated, currently unemployed college kid I don't like to go spending money all willy-nilly. Having enjoyed the score to Amelie, and this album being his cheapest, I thought it may be a good place to start.
Well, first the bad; this album runs a scant 26 minutes and 10 seconds. After dropping $16 or so on the album, this is a little disappointing.
Now the good; I think it was worth it. Sure, the tracks are short and there aren't many of them, but I quite enjoy what there is. This album encouraged me to get Le Phare and Les Retrouvailles as well, to mix things up a bit. Fortunately, those two run a bit longer. Still, I would not discourage others from giving this album, or at least this artist, a chance.
