Free Music Review: Soaring Voices

Yanni has had an amazing career so far and now he teams up with Grammy-winning producer, Ric Wake, to showcase four new vocalists who contributed to writing the songs on this cd. They were encouraged to write for the songs that moved them most. And, for me, that would be all of them as I enjoyed this cd from start to finish.
The four talented vocalists are Nathan Pacheco, Ender Thomas, Leslie Mills and Chloe and they blend seamlessly with Yanni's compositions.
I especially love "Omaggio", "Amare di Nuovo", "Orchid" and the Indian accented "Our Days". I love the mix of Spanish, Italian and English.
This cd with its bonus dvd is calm and peaceful yet alive with feeling. It is reflective and meditative. It connects me to a deeper place within.
There is enough variation to enjoy here but overall there is a mood created.
It is reminiscent of Andrea Bocelli with hints of Enya.
When I listen, I feel I am on the back porch gazing out at a limitless blue sky. There is a Japanese garden where koi are swimming and the I'm sipping some Earl Grey tea. The moment is now and everything feels right with the world. Bravo artists!

I recently had the chance to review this wonderful new CD by Yanni entitled Yanni Voices, and I have to say that I really enjoyed listening to it. If you're a Yanni fan you will love this new CD that contains some of his classic compositions re-interpreted, as well as some new songs.
Yanni Voices, also unveils 4 new amazing vocal artists, artists Nathan Pacheco, Chloe, Ender Thomas and Leslie Mills, have all been discovered and produced by Yanni and Wake. Their voices are incredible and really add to the overall experience of the cd. Their voices soar throughout the cd, evoking incredible beauty and emotion.
The CD is a wonderful mix of classic Yanni, combined with soul- stirring, slow jazz delights and something that I'd recommend everyone experience.

If you aren't a fan of instrumental music or jazz, then this probably isn't the CD for you. It's very laid back, soothing, emotional music. But please go to the the offical website and listen, the beauty of the music might change your mind.

For everyone out there who appreciates GREAT MUSIC, the Yanni Voices CD is one of best investments
you'll ever make - stirring, melodic and often soaring- the blend of four new and very talented voices
singing their own lyrics to Yanni's extraordinarily beautiful compositions is a match made in Musical
Heaven. It creates an emotional high no passionate, serious musical connoisseur should miss. The
accompanying DVD (a clever packaging idea by the way) ... chronicles the discovery of the singers and
their two year journey of hard work, practice and rehearsal to create one of most thrilling and
satisfying Concert Events of the last decade - I know because i saw the Concert at the MGM Coliseum at
Foxwoods last May. It was amazing and so is this album which highlights and adds background to the
experience. Hopefully the entire Concert will be recorded and preserved for future generations. Needless
to say, I LOVE IT and i listen to it all the time - that's the thing about great music - you never tire
of it! Thank you Yanni. Thank you Rick. And a Very Special Thanks to your four glorious "discoveries"
whose gifted Voices and sterling performances continue to knock me out!

Words cannot express how much I LOVE this album! True to his original form, Yanni produced an album overflowing with harmonic melodies and his traditional instrumental (yet oh-so ethereal and New Aged) style. However, unconventional of the musician is his incorporation of four talented vocalists to create his latest, and (in my opinion) greatest album to date. I loved Yanni before the "Yanni Voices" album released, and knew him well. A listener is still capable of hearing and getting a sense of Yanni's original essence; although, in this new album, the vocalists are truly the stars of the show! Personally, I feel that this album is more of an ethical collaboration, stemming melodies from various parts of the globe. This is one aspect that makes this album so alluring. Not only do you have Yanni's wonderful instrumentals, but you also have four talented, yet four completely individualized vocalists complimenting him. It is such a great compilation and I give it two thumbs WAY up!!! If you are unfamiliar with Yanni, then I would suggest this one being your first album to ease you into the styling of this magnificent artist. If you have never experience Yannis' music because you thought it was too New Age or Classical for your liking, then this is the CD for you. From classic Yanni melodies of up to date pop sounds Yanni Voices has it all!! Nathan Pacheco gives feeling to every note he sings. One not needs to be able to understand the words in Omaggio to know that it is a song with great emotion. The musical accompaniment and back ground vocals is so truly Yanni. The Keeper, with vocals by Leslie Mills, could very well be played on mainstream radio and be welcomed with open arms. The piano and Spanish guitar gives the song a bit of Yanni and only he can give! Set Me Free, as song by Chloe is another such song. Unmistakably Yanni, yet very much ready to take the pop airwaves by storm. Also featured on Yanni Voices is Ender Thomas. His voice is passionate and communicates each note of every word straight to your soul. Ritual De Amor (Desire) makes me want to stand up and dance with it heavy hints of sensuality!! Couple the CD with the behind the scenes DVD and all in all I find Yanni Voices to be one of Yanni greatest undertakings!!
