Free Music Notes for If I Could Tell YouFree Music Review: Undoubtedly, Yanni's best yet Hit: 5 StarsThis is perhaps the best Yanni CD yet. The title track and the Reason for Rainbows are perhaps the best compostions. I especially like the latter for its great mix of exhilirating background vocals and great arrangement of string instruments and keyboard. The Cd in a whole is "romantically" inclined, no grandiose movements, only good melodies and "simple" tunes. No high energy tunes either..Good use of flutes in some of the tracks, especially in the first track. very different Cd than the usual "live" ones. If you are experimenting Yanni, this is the CD you want to start with....you will become his devotee from the first track!
Free Music Review: Amazing music Hit: 5 StarsIf I Could Tell You is Yanni's newest album and it changed the system which Yanni had before. As you know, Yanni had another revolution in his music at the Tribute project. And this album is a new one. It is different from other albums. It's based on studio recording and the music is not live. But the rythmes and melodies are fascinating and it follows an intricate system. Specially "On Sacred Ground", "The flame Within" and "Highland" and also "Wishing Well" are new for everyone. I think Yanni could have a better album after a three year break. But "If I Could Tell You" is a very romantic album and you won't be disappointed.
Free Music Review: Wonderful Hit: 4 StarsThe more I listen to this man's work the more I like it. His music is so perfect when you are in the need of down time and soul searching. My biggest problem with, "If I Could Tell You," is not replaying, On Sacred Ground at least 2-3 times every time I listen to this CD, this is just absolutely wonderful music. By the time I'm done I will have every CD, that Yanni has put out its that good.
Free Music Review: Beautiful music can free the soul. Hit: 5 StarsI was introduced to Yanni by my father a few years ago and at first I couldn't get with it. My thinking was to constricted and I was stuck up about the music that I listened to, only rap and R&B. But the more I heard it and listened to it, the more I began to hear more than notes and "weirdness." I heard music. Real music for the first time. Music that means something and is something for EVERYBODY...if you are willing to open your mind. "If I Could Tell You" is just one in a long legacy of beautiful music created by Yanni. Not only does it sooth the soul, it takes you all over the world. I love it! It isn't the usual for an 18 year old but then again I'm a lot more open minded than other people my age. His music has made me more creative and stress-free. Whenever I want to be free, I put on Yanni...because beautiful music can free the soul.
Free Music Review: Yanni that I like Hit: 5 StarsWOW! He is finally back, back with a bang. Great CD. I am long time Yanni fan and I have almost all of his albums. This one is among the best. I can't belive how can some people say 'compositions really were severely lacking in creativity' or 'nothing new' and such things. Why must Yanni change from CD to CD. Well, this is a change, especially after 'Tribute'. Some will say retro change but I salute it. All the tracks are great. Just listen to 'Midnight Hymn', 'With an Orchid', 'Highland' and 'If I Could Tell You'. Among all, this 4 tracks stand out for me. When I hear those tunes I feel like in heaven. I have this album for a few months now and it doesn't want to leave my CD player. Buy this album, you can't go wrong. Thanks Yanni!
