I have many of Yanni's CD's and have had the great fortune to see and hear him twice in concert. However, until I heard "In My Time", I don't believe that I had heard the essence of Yanni's heart and soul. This recording is personal; him and his piano. It draws one into the music and the emotions are felt. One can relate it to one's own life. The tenderness, the emotion, the gentleness....the passion, the caring...the beauty; it is all there. Yanni is the composer of this era who will go down in history with Mozart, Bach, Tchiakowsky and this CD shows why. If you like Yanni even a little, you cannot miss the thrill of this CD which will bring tears to your eyes and goosebumps to your body.Free Music Review: Beautifully intimate

This is by far my favorite Yanni album. I love all of his music, but this album is just so heartfelt and original. You can really hear how Yanni compares to some of the other modern composers, like Suzanne Ciani or John Tesh, in this album. Yanni looks to himself for his inspiration. This is a collection of the most original piano pieces I've ever heard; tracks like "Until the Last Moment" and "One Man's Dream" are brilliantly complex in their emotion. You'll love how Yanni manages to almost tell stories with just the piano: the left hand sets the tone while the right tells the tale. Yanni has long been a favorite artist of mine, but his work "In My Time" has got to be his best. The simplicity of the acoustic piano, the elegance of the complex melodies, all combine to create a sweet ethereal sound with a haunting voice that whispers of stories and memories of treasured times. Actually more semi-classical than New Age, this instrumental collection really underscores Yanni's musical talents. If I could keep only one of his albums, this would easily be the one for me. Even if you prefer more New Age than Classical styles, you won't be sorry to have this one in your collection.Free Music Review: The only Yanni CD that I listen to

This was my 1st Yanni CD. I loved it SO much that bought several others, but the others pale in comparison to this one.
This CD has more of a neoclassical feel, and the instruments are less "synthesized" than the other CDs. For example, it sounds as if he is playing a real piano rather than playing a synthesizer with a computer generated sound.
I wake up to this every morning, and I frequently play it softly at work. But the best thing to do is to walk along the ocean beach with this playing on your headphones... what a moving experience! Try it if you can!

To be honest you must listen to live at acropolis before touching this album.I highly recommend the Acropolis before purchasing this.I listen to In My Time from yanni my parents

dramatical thats why I can not listen to that.But I have to
say the #1 album that puts me to sleep or taking a bath is
In my time you can not judge that album it is to good to listen
to.By the way it sounds a bit of your time to be honest like I said if your in my days you will do as I say as an advice.
