This was the first "New Age" album I ever bought. I had no idea what to get... at the time had never heard of Yanni. I just saw the background on the cd cover and liked it so I bought it. Was I in for a suprise. This cd is possibly my favorite out of my entire collection. "Prelude" is my favorite song... how I wish it wasn't the shortest. I loved this song so much I performed a dance to it about six years ago. This album has so much passion, and truly makes you feel as though you are on a journey. I cannot say enough about the true artistry Yanni gives us all.Free Music Review: Yanni 's inspirational music

How could Amazon Critic- TERRY WOOD not write a totally positive reveiw about Yanni ?????? A negative review on Yanni's legendary music is an attack on the essence of music itself, and for what purpose it was created for,,,, Yanni's music is TRULY inspirational,,the man himself is enlightning ,preaching love and unity and peace towards mankind... Every member of his orchestra is from a different continent.... expressing diverse talent from all across the globe.... SHAME ON U TERRY WOODS for not giving due credit to Greatness equaling Shakespeare ,,in my opinoin....Free Music Review: no doubt for 5 stars !!!

I got a chance to listen to Yani's music from my dad. He first bought the LD of 'Live at The Acropolis', it was clear that he was so much in love with the music and he had such a wonderful concert there in Acropolis. This album, 'Tribute', is one of the best CD I have, the music is beautifully played, gentle and relaxing. The second song,'Adagio in C Minor' is captivating, so as the tenth song, 'Nightingale', both are very relaxing. The rest of the songs are also very beautiful. "Tribute" is somewhat tamer compared to his unrealistic previous album, "Live at the Acropolis", yet more thoughtful and wide in its range. Songs like "Deliverance" and "Tribute" could be considered experimental, more mature form of music in Yanni's part, in an effort not to be outdone by his previous album. Yanni's melodies and sounds are kept intact throughout this CD. As with ALL of Yanni's albums, you will absolutely love this tremendous work by the master himself.Free Music Review: A Musical Experience

Yanni's Tribute is one of those albums you have to buy in numbers - once you've heard it yourself, the CD must be shared with others who appreciate truly great contemporary music. I am especially impressed by the talented instumental soloists in many of the tracks. The reviewer from Canada who objected to "Niki Nana" apparently does not get it off on jazz flute like I do! Those who really love Yanni's Tribute might also treasure Emma Shapplin's, Carmine Meo, - the only album I place above it.
