I bought this album (no CDs then!) when it came out. It has stood the test of time and, in my opinion, is one of the groundbreaking albums in rock. It was way ahead of it's time, considering it came out in 1966. A classic.Free Music Review: shapes of things to come

This is a rerelease of the early yardbirds. It is basic and preliminary to the stars that emerged from the group. It contains such classics as Shapes , Mister, Jeff's blues and other takes of these cuts. Recording quality is probably weak, but I'm not talking,and that's what I'm gonna say.Free Music Review: Back in '66
