something rock is lacking in every era is bands that are actually fun. 98% of all rock music is boring and definately not fun. AC/DC, The Who, Rocket from the Crypt, Dead Boys, the Ramones, Hot Snakes, the Decendents, MC5, the Stooges, the runaways, the Pixies, Talking Heads, and so on... were the exceptions to the boring masses. Unfortunatly the Yeah Yeah Yeahs gave up this torch and decided to be arty and boring instead of arty and fun. Too bad, The Master EP was one of my favorite records a few years back and I even liked Fever to tell. Guess they were just another semi-punk band.
