The music on this CD is taken from the two cassette releases that were available prior to the first commercially available Porcupine Tree release. These were - Tarquin's Seaweed Farm and The Nostalgia Factory. In fact most of the music from - On The Sunday of Life... was compiled from the two and a half hours of music contained on these tapes. When Porcupine Tree signed to Delirium Records in 1991, the original plan was to re-release both tapes on CD as two double albums. However, I decided a much better release could be made by compiling the strongest material onto one double album. For this release I have taken most of the the unused material and re-sequenced it into a satisfactory running order. All of this music was recorded in relatively primitive circumstances. naturally, any hiss, hum or other extraneous noise is absolutely integral to the experience hearing this music!
