Free Music Review: the littlest fan of the beatles
Hit: 5 Stars

If you have ever seen the movie on vhs or dvd. Or even both then you better get this soundtrack. But dont take my word for it. There are two songs that i think are not in the movie. By this i love the beatles. My all time fave soug eleanor rigby, which is on the movie. Sadly the soundtrack is not in a good order. it should be in how it was in the movie. The nowhere man freaks me out terribly. There is a little secerct on the dvd too. I love the beatles forever and aways. I dont care what anybody says i wont give up on the music.

Free Music Review: Rubbish, laddie... pure rubbish
Hit: 1 Stars

Hey, I got a great idea... let's re-mix the Beatles! I mean, George Martin, Norman Smith, Geoff Emerick... who were these guys, anyway? I can do a much better job... besides, when you apply the latest technology to things, it ALWAYS improves them.

Free Music Review: It's the Songtrack, not the soundtrack
Hit: 5 Stars

Many people complain that this album do not contain many orchestral score made by beatles fifth member George martin but it is really pointless.the label clearly says it is SONGTRACK no SOUNDTRACk.new album contains almost all songs that were in the movie without orchestral pieces.while the mix of old soundtrack was simply two channels without any impressing middle here it is...awesome multichannel sound! i am not familliar with all these 5.1 surroundings or any other remastering formats but the sound of remastered "Yellow submarine" is simply stuning.listen to "Baby, you're a rich man" is version from "magical mystery tour" and listen to this version from here.and "Eleanor rigby" with huge surrounding sound simply will make your jaws fall.
about the music,"Yellow Submarine" has most of their hits from 1966 - 1968 era with an addition of few new songs like "Hey bulldog","Only a northern song" or "It's all too much".you may think that most of the songs are contained on other regular albums but you must get this album for it's sound.the sound is like beatles should always sound.Paul's bass is almost visible,so is Ringo Drumming.Lennons and Harrison's powerfull guitars rock out of your speakers and vocals are amazingly clear...
remastered "Yellow submarine" songtrack is a great way to get into Beatles music.and one of their best sounding album ever.

Free Music Review: WHOOPS! i GET THE original recording one 'stead of the new 1

I saw this movie at the Omnimax at the downtown St. Louis Science Center! It was really, really good. My whole family went to see it together and we ALL enjoyed it! If you want to chat with me anything and/or about THE BEATLES E-MAIL at thebeatlesfantanya@yahoo.com

Free Music Review: revisionism
Hit: 5 Stars

it struck me while listening to this newly designed Yellow Submarine 'songtrack'..........that, this is like a Beatles album but with the george ratio more even.
in other words, if john and paul had let george slip his songs in a little more on their records, it may have come out something like this!
every Beatles album has included one but no more than 2 harrison songs.
and over time, of course, this slant became to grate a little on george, especially by the time of the final albums as george's song writing confidence was growing ever stronger and he had a lot of material in the can.
and john and paul, famously, were even known to be cool to what george brought to the table.
so, there was an unhealthy undercurrent festering...........not radically, but , subtle , on george's part.
so, with all this history, with the consideration of 'how things were'.........i'm listening to this new songtrack and it dawns on me,,,,,,,,,,,,"hmmmmmmm, this is like a beatles album that never existed-one that came with way more harrison songs than was the norm"
it's like a righting of history........a re-writing of history.
it's like, climbing into a time machine and landing in a time when a beatles album had FOUR harrison songs on it (as this new yellow submarine songtrack has on it)rather than the normal one or two.
when you're used to only the 1 or 2 harrison songs per beatles album and then you put on this new 'songtrack' and a harrison comes at you every 3rd or 4th song, it's quite a shock to the senses-in a good way of course.
in conclusion, along with the as usual superb lennon/mccartney offerings that reside on this newly designed yellow submarine, we catch a glimpse of what a beatle album would've sounded like with a juicier selection of harrison songs mixed in.
