Free Music Review: The old Malmsteen is back!!!

I am a big Malmsteen fan, but I am not suspicious to talk about his new CD. Why? Because after "War to End All Wars" I simply started to believe Malmsteen was done with his GIGANTIC contribution to Heavy Metal. I WAS WRONG!!!
Anyway... I bought his new CD (I always buy his CDs), and realized the old Malmsteen from 1984 is back! CAPRICI DI DIABLO is one of the best classical inspired Heavy Metal songs I have ever heard. I simply never get tired of hearing it. Leaving the technique aside (ALL Malmsteen work is EXTREMELY technical), the feeling generated by this music is amazing... And made me remember the Malmsteen I saw so many times on stage, including in Brazil.
But that is not all... DAMNATION GAME is also something! Lots and lots of mood swings in the solos (I like to think this music has bipolar disorder), and a great drum work.
I could go over each song on this review, but this is beyond my point. Malmsteen is still one of the only guitar players using speed to say something. His awesome and astonishing technique is not used to fill empty spaces of creativity. His speed and technique are used to send a message, and I just love to feel how easy it is for him to make the guitar an extension of his own body.
This CD is definitely 100 stars, but I guess I will have to accept only 5. Malmsteen's place in history was already guaranteed before this CD, but it is good to know the Rising Force is still on the rise!
