Free Music Review: Yngwie, the fatest guitar player in the world,
Hit: 2 Stars

No question Yngwie is fastest guitar player in the world. However the songs in his new CD have no melody. Every song sounds about the same. This is guitar CD and all vocals and other instruments are put in the background. I listened to this CD for a couple of time with my headphone and I cannot recall any verses in the songs. His best CDs are when he was with Alcatrazz.

Free Music Review: Disappointed
Hit: 2 Stars

First off, Amazon is asking to much money for this CD. I found it for $11.99 at the local music store. This is just one of Yngwie's CD's that I just cannot get into. Overall, I think the sound production sounds quite old, and Tim Ripper Owens on vocals is just making this CD sound alot like Judas Priest, and Yngwie's guitar playing sounds alittle bit sloppy.

Free Music Review: Flame of hope and anticipation SNUFFED out!
Hit: 1 Stars

Let me start by saying I am a HUGE Yngwie fan since 1984...I have met the man, hosted him at my CD store and seen him live numerous times., he is an amazing musician. This album is a representation of all of his critics comments (it is lazy, no new ground, pompous, boring). Yngwie had 3 years to write (apparently recorded like 38 songs in the studio) and we get this mediocre release. Tracks 8 and 9 have the SAME main riffs (track 9 is just a little slower) Yngwie conducted an interview saying "he writes deep meaningful lyrics and it is what he works hardest on" The lyrics are cheesy thru the whole CD. Ripper did a good job with what he had to work with, but the vocals are WAY over processed. This is my least favorite album released by my favorite musician...He didn't play any new track live (last week in Dallas) and also has no sound samples on any of his sites...I can see why "Perpetual Disappointment" Yngwie I know you don't listen to other peoples music, but at least go back and listen to some of your own work (Rising Force AMAZING, jazz, blues, classical, fusion...Magnum Opus "WOW"...Alchemy (REBIRTH - fresh, fast, furious)...Attack & Unleash the Fury Fantastic, FUN, great lyrics, great vocals) Sorry but I can't express any more frustration about how I feel about this "new" CD.

Free Music Review: Sloppiest piece of work I've ever heard. Shame on you, Yngwie.
Hit: 1 Stars

I cannot believe how utterly sloppy this piece of work is. There are way too many points on this CD where you honettly cannot tell what is happening because absolutley nothing is synched up. And when I say nothing, I mean NOTHING. Drums. Bass. Guitar. Keyboard. Every single one of them is completely off from each other. And to make it even worse, it's EVERY song.

Yo, Yngwie - forget what a click track is? Next time USE ONE. I mean, c'mon, Malmsteen - were you and everyone else that had their hands on the matering of this album completely drunk when you slapped this "yet another forgettable Malmsteen album" together?

The absolutely butchered mastering of this album renders it 100% pure official crap.

Yngwie, time to hang it up, dude. This album jumps the shark in about 1,000 different ways. Time for the wheelchair.

I used to be a fan of this guy. That was back in the 80's before I passed puberty. Sorry, don't mean to offend the last 8 or 9 fans this guy has left, but truth is truth.

Free Music Review: Perhaps for the new fans.
Hit: 1 Stars

This it is the worse Yngwie malmsteen album I've ever listened.
All the songs are like pieces of different puzzles put from the force in a single picture, that is to say, riffs and solos are such the same as all time, some times is like hear I'll see the light tonight. In addition it is impossible not to note that the vocalist tried to fill the expectations of Yngwie instead of being himself. I'm still waiting an original album, perhaps following Blackmore's steps he should to work with Candice Night.
