Free Music Notes for Songs of Joy & PeaceFree Music Review: Yo Yo...not my mother....but wish I had such a fun name!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I have just become a fan of Yo Yo Mas and I am so thankful that I started to get interested in his music. He has a wonderful way with the cello and the arrangements. I love alot of music for their background qualities. I will be playing this album at my holiday parties this year, and for my toddler as he falls asleep. I also love it at work. It is relaxing and calming. I can't wait to check out his other stuff as well. YO!!!!!
Free Music Review: Couldn't be better Hit: 5 Stars
This is simply a brilliant piece of work. The music is lively and bright and beautiful. Each artist who plays with Yo-yo Ma is in top form and each lends their own artistic genius. The music is uplifting and at the same time peaceful. Its worth the price just to hear Yo-yo Ma and Paquito D'Rivera play together but when you add this rendition of the Wexford Carol to the rest, you have perfection.
Free Music Review: A wonderful addition to holiday music collections Hit: 5 Stars
Each year I purchase a few holiday music CDs and this collection is a wonderful addition. I enjoy listening to Yo-Yo Ma's performances and this collection of his performances with a variety of artists is great.
It contains the familiar songs along with others not usually included on holiday collections.
It is very soothing...just what we need during this busy time.
Free Music Review: What a joy! Hit: 5 Stars
I watched the bonus DVD first and learned so much about why each song was chosen and how the arrangements came to be. Yo-Yo Ma is an effervescent personality who exudes such love and joy himself, the artists loved working with him. Some were old friends, some new. The music is exceptionally beautiful, with an unexpected selection for the holidays.
Free Music Review: Yo-Yo Ma Rocks! Hit: 5 Stars
From the magnificent opening strains of a cello to the hauntingly beautiful Wexford Carol to James Taylor and Yo-Yo Ma's delicately balanced arrangement of "Here Comes the Sun," this album is hard to beat! There's a rich tapestry of sounds--jazz, classical, Celtic--something for everyone. This has become one of my favorite CDs!
