Honestly, I loved the opening segment from Cartoon Network's showing of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex that I decided to track down the album. It was well worth the effort, this CD is awesome! Powerful, Lyrical (still need help translating the Russian), this is a stand-alone-album: great to zone out to, run background while entertaining, and perfect for the extended car ride. I got this cd a while back when I started watching the series. I'm not the type of person to listen to cds all the way through, but this is one of those rare finds for me. The music is amazing. I love Yoko Kanno and Origa. All the songs seem to have a twist. They aren't just 'pretty' songs. They are deep and some are sad (Monochrome and Beauty is Within Us). Get the cd. If you haven't seen SAC then you're missing some of the best anime to come out of Japan since GTS.The soundtrack has most of the riffs and beats from the TV series as well as the opening / closing themes. Yoko Kanno's work is some of the best I've heard from an anime show since her work on Cowboy Bebop, and that was a blast.
If you have seen the show, get the soundtrack!

I was worried about getting this CD, but, that was only because I had no clue who wrote he wolfs rain soundtracks!
Trust me, this is a great buy, you seriously won't regret it!

The most amazing vocals are on here, multilingual songs with angelic high vocals so beautifully blended. A mix of amazing songs and yes some tracks are mixed up but its worth the cd. High praises to Yoko Kanno amazing job on the cd and compisition and to all the other artists.
