Free Music Notes for Young Frankenstein: The New Mel Brooks MusicalFree Music Review: The worst show on broadway Hit: 1 StarsI got tickets to this disaster just before the reviews came out. BIG MISTAKE! Mel Brooks owes me every penny back I paid for this dreck (love the actors, love the movie... don't see or listen to this dreck). I pass the theatre every day on the way to work... if people are waiting outside I make a point to talk them out of wasting their money.
Free Music Review: Young Frankstein CD Hit: 5 StarsThis CD is excellent! We have tickets to see the Broadway production next month, and hearing the music in advance always enhances our enjoyment of the show. I've been collecting original soundtracks for years, and find the most convenient and economical way to purchase them is through Amazon.
Free Music Review: Young Frankenstein Rocks Hit: 5 StarsThe CD of the Young Frankenstein musical is great. It makes you feel you are at the theater watching those glorious performers work their magic. But the real magic-maker is the imaginative creater Mel Brooks. It is just amazing how he writes all the music and songs. He cares about what the original actors felt about reworking the hit movie into a musical. I read Mel even went to Marty Feldman's grave to see if it was alright. I think Megan Mullally as Dr. Frankenstein's fiance really steals the CD, as her songs are so memorable. A lot of people never knew she could sing. Roger Bart, Sutton Foster, Andrea Martin, Christopher Fitzgerald, Fred Applegate and Shuler Hensley are all wonderful. Laugh along with Mel Brooks; he wouldn't have it any other way!
Free Music Review: Young Frankenstein Hit: 5 StarsExcellent Score , first class cast , very funny .For me this is a better musical the the Producers ,hope its come st the UK .
Free Music Review: Mel does it again (almost)! Hit: 5 StarsIt pleases me very much to see Mel Brooks doing some of his greatest work nearing the end of a very long and checkered career. After the brilliance of the musical version of his "The Producers", he has to really to deliver the goods with the follow-up "Young Frankenstein" and he really comes close. Wonderful songs and what sounds like a great cast, this show sounds like a milliion bucks and from what I hear looks like it too!
Personal favs include "Roll in the Hay" and "He vas My Boyfriend!"
Check it out, I don't think you'll be disapointed!
