Free Music Notes for The Inspiration

Free Music Review: 4.5 stars actually, decent sophomore album but the first was better
Hit: 5 Stars

Let me just say that I've been a fan of Jeezy ever since I heard him on the first single from the "Boyz N Da Hood" album 2 years ago. After I heard that I got that album and fell in love with it. I had finally found some hardcore violent southern gangsta rap that didn't talk about hoes and money. It was dark, bloody, and violent. After I heard that one of thier members was coming out with a solo joint, I was psyched. I heard Jeezy's first single "And than What" and thought it was decent but lacked the appeal of "Dem Boyz". I got the album anyway and was impressed. I must be honest that this one doesn't live up to the first. However it is still a good CD. It's dark, grimy, and has a somewhat erie feeling to it. It's Trap Music at it's darkest. Jeezy isn't a great lyrcist, so if your looking for that go check out Young Dro, T.I, Lil Wayne, or Chamillionaire. This album has more ups and downs but it lacks the charm of the first and that's why it doesn't make my top 10 for last year.

Free Music Review: It's Not That Bad....
Hit: 5 Stars

I've read a lot of reviews on here and there are a lot of people hatin. I'm not Jeezy fan by a long shot, but I give props when its due. The Inspiration by Young Jeezy is a pretty good album. Jeezy is definitely not the best lyricist out there but with a combination of his production and his unique way of putting simple words together to make it sound catchy puts this album over the top. Just because he is from the South doesn't mean anything, its time to get over that and realize the south is where it's happenin. Maybe if the rappers from New York would stop rappin about the same thing they have been rappin about since 93' and update then the rap-game would expand from bein dominated by the south to just an east coast thing. People like Jim Jones realize that and are adapting and there-fore is getting positve results.

Free Music Review: No sophomore slump
Hit: 5 Stars

I have to admit. I thought, Jeezy was a joke. A one and done rapper highlighted by a Jay track. Damn, I've never been more wrong. Jeezy blazes through tracks ad-libbing and leaving his brash ego on each line. His greatest flaw still remains with repetitive coke lines(I might be a bit to petty on this but I kid you not, EVERY SONG has a drug or trap reference), and an over use of punch lines. No song is going to put you into a deep thought, and no song will need to be broken down to get the message across. But what saves the album is his fantastic beat selection, which features R. Kelly, Timbaland, and Cannon to name a few. And for what Jeezy lacks in lyrical prowess, he more than makes up for it in savy, and the ability to conncet with the listener which makes one of the best southern records out.

Free Music Review: he keeps it gangsta and you luv it
Hit: 5 Stars

The inspiration was definitley different from tm101

but its still so good.
every track has a banging beat.
and its great to bump to when you're driving.
he talks about everything in his life.
about his mom addicted to drugs and his hustle.
its just an overall great cd.

the intro hypnotize has by far the best beat.

and the song dreamin with keyshia cole is tight.
also his track with r. kelly.

j.e.e.z.y is one of my favorite tracks too.
bury me a G is a straight up classic.

every track has a story to tell, so you all better buy this album. one of the best of the year fo sho.
and if you don't like it at first, it will definitley grow on you.

the beats are dopeeeee.

Free Music Review: The Snowman does it again...
Hit: 5 Stars

I feel like it's impossible to not like Young Jeezy. His lyrics are charming tales of hood life with similies that make even the hardest gangsta crack a smile. Some will argue that The Inspiration does nothing new, therefore does not deserve acclaim. To those people I say, same on you. Jeezy doesn't have to do anything new, all he has to do is evolve. This album there isn't even so much as a mumble of being a trapstar. Even on tracks where Keisha Cole's tired hook attempts to drag down the album, Jeezy's heartfelt flow makes the track seem like the saddest of thug tales.
With Jay-Z's return being lackluster and Lil' Weezy claiming to be the best rapper alive, many know that the best rapper is indeed the soft spoken Atlanta native. Young Jeezy can just do no wrong.
