Free Music Review: Youngstown's Debut
Hit: 5 Stars

I remember this album when I was in the 7th grade. The song I'll Be Your Everything was a hit. This album is just good. The group explored new terrain on this album. This album is filled with tender pop-R&B ballads that display their pitch-perfect harmonies. The pop moods, R&B grooves, and funked-up rhythms proved that this group was no flash-in-the-pan studio creation. They wanted their audience to move to their music. This album should have been promoted more. Remember, this was 1999.

Free Music Review: This was a good debut for them
Hit: 4 Stars

I played this album a lot the time it came out. It's some very fun pop songs here. I still like "I'll be your Everything", but I like it with the rap in it than the non-rapping version that's also on it. One goodie on here that I do like is the funky "Dance Floor"--the bass guitar, DJ scratches and beat are so funky on here! A couple of the ballads have that early '70s feel of the early soul groups on here and they sound so smooth on here. The title song Let's Roll is that good. For a new group back in '99, this was a good first effort.

Free Music Review: Youngstown rocks
Hit: 5 Stars

Youngstown has a fresh new flair, they are awesome with melody and they are hot so that is a plus!

Free Music Review: Why did I buy this? Why?
Hit: 1 Stars

I think I was temporarily insane when I got this. There are only two songs that are worth listening to on here--"Pedal to the Steel" and "I'll Be Your Everything". Those songs are the reason I bought this CD and now they're the only ones I listen to. The rest is just mindless, stupid, poppy trash. Don't get me wrong, I love pop music. I have CDs from *NSync, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore and lots of others that I like a lot but Y-town doesn't have the writing and the hooks that they need to keep audiences happy. There's just no originality. Hopefully their second CD coming out in August will be more entertaining, better written, and more cutting edge. Love~Butterfly
