Free Music Notes for Alcohol Fueled Brewtality LiveFree Music Review: Bleed black label !!!!! Hit: 4 StarsI realy enjoyed this CD I enjoyed disc 2 the most. I only had two complaints , one was it's almost all Stronger Than Death songs and it's missing the best song on there Counterfit God. Other than that it is an excelent CD. If you like zack's music you'l love this cd.
Free Music Review: awsome Hit: 5 StarsAmust have for any ZAKK fan.. or hard rocker.. one of the best live cd's i have..
Free Music Review: Unnecessary Hit: 2 StarsThis live album/in-studio acoustic EP is hard to figure. Most of the live stuff is selected from BLS's "Stronger Than Death" album, which wasn't all that great to begin with. The only good thing being; that album was so poorly mixed that live versions of "All For You" and "13 Years Of Grief" sound much better and immediate than their studio counterparts. A new heavier version of "No More Tears" tries to please, but fails by showing Zakk Wylde's gruff vocals don't always work. Unexpectedly, the bonus acoustic EP is the far better attraction. "Like A Bird" is the best song Neil Young never wrote and "Blood In The Well" shows Zakk's soloing chops in full form. BLS needed some better songs before doing a live record. End of story.
Free Music Review: A live album to hold me over until I see BLS Live again! Hit: 5 StarsI just recently witnessed Zakk Wylde & his BLS live in San Diego. It was a non-stop head banging, scream your lungs out all Metal show. The new CD comes out on April 22nd, and I have all the previous studio CDs of BLS. So, I needed something to hold me over until then. This album is Metal at its truest capacity. No Holds barred! It rules! This is a man on a mission - to let everyone know that true Metal still exists. He is also letting people know, that Metal needs shredders! And of course Zakk, is one of the true guitar shredders of our time, with a style all his own. (And, might I add, the master of pick harmonics.) For any one craving a head banging feast, buy this album. Once you hear it, you'll be transported to your favorite arena, viewing Black Label Society, and screaming your lungs out! (PS - when Zakk comes to your town with BLS - make an extra effort to go see it. Believe me - you won't be disappointed!) METAL LIVES!!
Free Music Review: Zakk finally stripped down and it works! Hit: 5 StarsNOTE: I am not one for long reviews...BLS studio albums are plagued with over-production in the bad sense: too many squealing guitars in the background and "sludgey" tones make a wall of noise that seems to hide the respectable song-writing and downright amazing riffs of Zakk Wylde. This live album is the exception to that rule. The guitars (and everything else) are recorded flawlessly and the result is energetic and downright breath-taking. His 2nd guitarist is capable of doubling his parts making the solos sound huge and unique for a live recording. I couldn't stop listening to this one when I first got it. After this, 1919 Eternal showed improvement in his production style... I'm looking forward to the new one. Highly recommended.
