Free Music Notes for Simple ThingsFree Music Review: Best YET Hit: 5 StarsThis is the first album for them, and it should be classic music heard for all. I love to chill with wine and good company with this album. Good times.
Free Music Review: Catchy rythyms, but nothing major here Hit: 3 StarsWhen It Falls offers so much more in the songwriting department. My advice is to buy that one first and if you abosolutely love it, move on to Simple Things for a while. You'll see that Simple Things is just that, simple songs with no real imagination. Sure the bass is funky and the strings are fresh, but Moses and Sia perform much better and even provide songrwritng support in When it Falls. Those two have sinced moved on to solo projects they deserve. Simple things has some good jams, but When it Falls has a much better balance overall.
Free Music Review: Simply Eloquent Hit: 5 Stars- MY RANT
I LOVE Zero 7's debut album, "Simple Things." It's hard to conject the posititve aspects of this LP, because it's SO multi-layered. This album makes me dream, think, love, and explore many things about myself. There is absolutely no bad tracks in this LP, and even a weak song like "Salt Water Sound" is still good. Songs like the "Destiny", "This World", and "Spining" are all amazingly produced with vocals that match each track's sound perfectly. The instrumentals themselves are just as great, with my favorite being the poignant "Take it Away."
"Simple Things" is different than what I normally hear. It's soothing, yet it throbbs me. I can't help but recommend this album, though if the album samples bores you, don't bother with the LP. Leave others like me to enjoy the sounds of nature and culture.
Free Music Review: Zero 7's Simple Things is a MUST for any collection Hit: 4 StarsThe Music - Classic chillout to its finest!! The use of drums remixed with jazzy electronic beats is incredible.......not forgetting the vocals by Sia Furler, Sophie Barker, and Mozez. Totally mesmerizing and fresh. Very melodic and cool indeed!!
The Artist - Good virtuoustic use of electronic and ambient downtempo beats and rhythms. It takes some time to appreciate, but believe me when I say that it's well worth the effort! Even the song "In the waiting line" was featured in the TV series "Sex and the City". Zero 7 in my mind are the masters of downtempo chill.
CD good for - A relaxing bath in the tub (a jacuzzi would be preferable), a nite alone at home, before bed or with a favourite book.
A great album for just about anything! Please get one or you're gonna regret later!
Free Music Review: More effective than a tranquilizer dart Hit: 5 StarsHas a song ever stopped you in your tracks?
A year ago I was watching an episode of Sex and the City, and it ended with a song that took my breath away. I googled for a good half hour before I found out that it was "In the waiting line" from Zero 7 (just click to listen to the sample)
When I bought it from Amazon, I put the wrapped CD away, so that I would open it only when I complete a big milestone, which I did today - I launched a new business venture.
And in the evening, with a sip of great wine, I listened to this song.
Go ahead and buy this CD - it'll help you relax, it'll help you rediscover that life is a gift to be enjoyed.
