Any-one criticizing this album by saying its not reggae is an idiot. The music is not 1960's original Reggae (what some reggae fans live by). However it is modern reggae and is missing nothing. I would compare this music to his fathers. It has complete soul and even better lyrics. Ziggy is the Man in my book.Free Music Review: Great Album! I Got this AND his new concert DVD

This is an excellent album. Also, the "Love is my Religion" album is great too... but what tops them both is the "Live: Love is my Religion" on DVD! Free Music Review: Good

This is a good album for Ziggy's first solo project, but it is inconsistant. I bet if you asked Ziggy about this album he would say that its "experimental." The experiment is about half successful and half unsuccessful. Half of the songs have nice grooves, great lyrics, and a fun style. The other half of the songs are too rock/pop influenced for my taste. The best songs are Dragonfly, True To Myself, Shalom Salaam, and Rainbow In The Sky. The worst songs are the last three on the cd. If you don't already own Love Is My Religion by Ziggy, get that first because it is his best album. "Conscious Party" is my favorite Ziggy Marley album because I don't need to skip a single track on it. This album is right up there with that one. This CD is worth checking out for the tracks "Dragonfly", "True To Myself" and "Melancholy Mood" alone. Of course in a week I will say it is worth it for a handful of completely different tracks. This is one of those albums that you like right away and gets better with every listen.Free Music Review: amazing
