I saw them live in Melbourne in a really dark, dive of a hotel and !@#$$$%^ loved them! My ears rang for two days afterwards! They sound just as good, if not better on stage as in the studio and that's quite an accomplishment. Sure, long time fans have mentioned that they sound less 'swampy' from their earlier recordings, but which band hasn't refined their sound over the evolution of their recording history? They would be the first to say that no one should take this genre too seriously, it's about drinkin, rockin' and havin' your ears ring for days afterwards!! More power to them and screw commercial media if they can't handle the various 'billy' genres!
