Free Music Review: I'll put it simply: The Best Christian Rock Album EVER!!! Hit: 5 StarsI've been listening to this album since way back in the mid-nineties and always loving it. I've heard a lot of Christian rock bands, and I mean a lot, but none as good as dc Talk. this is their masterpiece. every song will impact you. too bad they parted ways, but this memory will ever last. this is a very original and creative album, I've recommended it to many people and all of them have loved it. I'm sure you will too. :)
Free Music Review: The Best Christian Rock CD ever ... attention Mr. Hat Hit: 5 Stars... followed closely by Jeremy Camp's "Stay," Switchfoot's "The Beautiful Letdown," Tait's "Empty," Third Day's "Offerings" CDs and dc Talk's own "Supernatural." A great disc that mixes genres with passion (is there a more passionate vocalist out there than Michael Tait, secular or Christian?), wonderfully timeless production (no "big" snare drum sound or other effects) and great lyrics that talk about the struggles everyone faces. People talk about how great a band Nirvana was. Well, they lost me on that corner. Give me dc Talk or Third Day anyday.
I do have to chuckle at Mr. Hat's comments about how lame dc Talk and the aforementioned bands allegedly are. Sounds like there's some real issues going on with Mr. Hat in the way he hatefully describes things he hates. We'll pray for you pal. Hang in there ...
Free Music Review: Classic Hit: 5 StarsI think this CD will go down into history as simply the best Christian Rock album of all times. If you haven't heard it yet then you're really missing out, but hey, that's why I'm writing this review!
Jesus Freak spans so many genres, Contemporary Christian, Nu-Metal, and Alternative Rock. Yet, the CD does it so smoothly that all the songs fit so well together. That's what makes it such a great album. After nine years I'm still not tired of the album. The lyrics are honest and sincere, the vocals are flawless, and the music is out of this world. While this album produced hit singles like Jesus Freak, In My Minds Eye, Just Between You and Me, and Colored People the whole CD is terrific. There is not one seccond of filler. Buy this CD!
