Free Music Review: EMC "The Show"- 5 Stars Hit: 5 StarsEMC, the new supergroup consisting of Masta Ace, Punchline, Wordsworth, and Stricklin, came correct with their first album "The Show". The album tells a story about the crew going to New York to do a show in some club and what they encounter along the way. The tracks all fit together perfectly. Most of the time you will hear people complaining about skits on an album, but the skits on "The Show" all tie together with the storyline. Lyrically, Masta Ace and Stricklin are the standouts, but Punch and Words aren't too far behind. The production is top notch with producers such as Nicolay, Frequency, Ayatollah, The ARE, Marco Polo, and some others. Guest appearances are held to a perfect amount here. ADI of Growing Nation drops some vocals on the track "Don't Give Up On Us." Little Brother comes through for a verse on "Traffic." Other guests are Ladybug Mecca, Sean Price, and Money Ham. In conclusion, "The Show" is an extremely well crafted, put together piece of hip hop. This is my number one album of 2008 so far. Pick this one up as soon as you can.

Free Music Review: The SHOW has started! Hit: 5 StarsWOW!! That's how I'm going to start this review......if you look at my past reviews you'll notice I only like to review HOT ish..that's just my preference and this fits right in there like a glove...from the beginning to the last cut on the album you will be moving your head....produced by Koolade, The Are, Quincy Tones, Nicolay, Frequency, J,and Ayatollah, these beats are just ridiculous...some of these guys you may recognize and some you may not but I'm sure that after this effort you'll begin to see their names popping up alot more often...IT'S THAT BANGIN, trust me..lol...
The lyrics are handled by the old school Juice Crew vet Masta Ace and he brought along a few of his friends like Stricklin,Punchline, and Wordsworth..this is a New York/Midwest collaboration with Stricklin being from Milwaukee of all places...and he's nice on the mic too...This is a complete hip-hop album...reflective of some "golden age" efforts, which is just a great look for 2008....This is the type of hip-hop we need to keep passing along to this "soulja boy" generation so hopefully it will inspire the next wave of mc's to understand that the ART and the time given to it is what will produce results like this.....ONE!!!!
