Who is Everett B. Walters? For the record, Everett B. Walters is a band... actually a duo, starring brothers Harold Walter Brown III on bass and Mike Everett Brown on guitar. These guys have cooked up one kinetic album here in ALWAYS HIGH REACHING, and loaded it with the hip sounds of jazz, soul, R&B, and funk. The Brown Brothers, born and raised on Chicago's south side, started their music with piano lessons, but after hearing James Brown in concert, switched to guitars. After playing in church, talent shows, in school, and evolving over the years as they turned professional, Harold and Mike eventually moved to Vegas, where they're now based and making their presence felt big-time in the world of Smooth Jazz. ALWAYS HIGH REACHING contains ten original tunes written in collaboration with close friends Pete Merriweather (drums) and Alex Alessondroni (keyboards) that sizzles with creativity and passion. Highlights to my ear include "Always High," featuring Brian Simpson on piano, the tasty "And the Story Goes Like This," and "I Need to Know," featuring Shawn Rivera... a smash hit vocal for both Smooth Jazz and urban play lists. This CD is one of the best that I have purchased on Amazon, which is saying a lot considering the number that I have bought in the past 2.5 years.7 East, Always High, and Rainbow beach are absolutely outstanding instrumental jams.And the story goes is great chill out music, but songs 5 & 6, I Need To Know & Til I'm Through are by far the best 2 songs on the CD. I have not heard Shawn Rivera or Alexx Daye sing before, but let me tell you they have become a part of my 'Heavy Rotation'.I thank Amazon for making outstanding music like this available, because you will not hear it on the radio, which is an absolute disgrace.This CD deserves to be heard, as is the case with a number of CD's that I have acquired from Amazon.I have had a number of friends ask me who is Alan Hewitt, Gail Jhonson, Rob White, & other artists when they hear this music.Again, this CD is outstandingFree Music Review: Smooth Jazz

When I received this cd in the mail, and put it in my player to listen to it I was totally amazed as to how good the whole cd was. I will come back and purchase more from this artist.
