The combination of Tony Bennett and K D Lang on this production is nothing short of inspired. They provide a wonderful listening experience from start to finish. Their collaboration works so well, I can only hope that this album is just the beginning of a series of similar recordings. A lot of the credit for this offering being so enjoyable should go to the great back-up arrangements which choose the relaxed and mellow road, rather than the over-wrought and bombastic. I have listened to this CD several times, and it leaves me with one frustration: it is a couple of dozen songs too short.Free Music Review: What a Wonderful World

As long as cd's like this are still recorded it is a wonderful world. In an industry where real music is rarely recorded out comes this refreshing cd. Thanks so much Columbia. Lets see more. I am like the first reviewer, I lisented to Exactly Like You several times before even going to #2. All wonderful songs. My favorite has to be KD's A Kiss To Build A Dream On. WOW what pipes. You can't go wrong with this CD, unless you are a rap fan. Then again after you listen to this, you won't want to listen to rap anymore. This CD will mature you.Free Music Review: Simply Marvelous...

This new Tony Bennet CD, A Wonderful world, is too marvelous for words. This CD features a sampling of the most famous Louis Armstrong songs; this time around they're being performed by Tony Bennet and K.D. Lang. The music is as romantic as it is moving. If you are looking for a cd to listen too with a special someone or by yourself... then the perfect choice is the new Tony Bennet / K.D. Lang CD A WONDERFUL WORLD. If you are fans of either, you won't be disappointed. As a fan of both, this cd is a great addition to other recordings of theirs and superior to the current Tony Bennett duet release "An American Classic".While that one is good also, some of the duet artist pairings feel strained stylistically. This is the beauty of his matchup with K.D.Lang on Wonderful World. Her voice and his flow musically as one. Not only are their talents equal, their feeling for the music and arrangements is in sync as well.Free Music Review: Truly A Wonderful World

The sweet CD cover photo is a perfect indicator that the music inside will make you feel like you're wrapped in a warm embrace. It's gentle, playful, and jazzy and harkens back to another era when singers crooned. You can hear piano keys being tickled and bass strings being plucked. I happen to be more of a kd lang fan, and yet thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration, whether they sang by turn or together in harmony. If you want to slow down your day and put a smile on your face, this should do it.
