I bought this album in late 69 or early 70, when it was first released, mainly because it was a double album. I'd never heard of them and just took a chance. As it turned out, I listened to the album all the way through, maybe twice, then shelved it until a week ago. For thirty some years, it's been languishing in my album collection.
I burned it to CD and have given it my requisite four listens all the way through. There are some good keyboard tracks from Brian, and some good vocal tracks from Julie, it's just that as a whole, after all these years, it still just doesn't do anything for me. It's not bad music, or bad playing, or bad anything. It's just nothing to write home about.
To me, the album is a mix of folk and jazz rock, mild music, which isn't bad, just nothing to blow you away. Recommended for those looking for something different, but not too radical.
